RestoreClay
The Complete Solution for Hard Clay Soil
Are you frustrated with heavy, compacted clay soil? Struggling with standing water, thin lawn growth, or dead trees and shrubs? These are common signs of unhealthy clay soil—but RestoreClay can help.
What is RestoreClay?
RestoreClay is a powerful, all-natural soil amendment designed specifically to transform dense, nutrient-poor clay into fertile, plant-friendly soil. It combines beneficial microorganisms and humus-building compounds that work deep in the soil to:
-
Loosen compacted clay
-
Improve drainage and aeration
-
Stimulate healthy root development
-
Increase nutrient availability and microbial activity
It’s more than a quick fix—it’s a long-term solution for turning lifeless clay into a thriving foundation for lawns, gardens, and landscaping.
How RestoreClay Works
Healthy soils are rich in humus, nutrients, and living microorganisms. Unfortunately, clay soils often lack all three. RestoreClay:
-
Adds beneficial microorganisms to rebalance your soil biology
-
Enhances the breakdown of organic matter to build humus
-
Provides nitrogen to jump-start plant and microbial growth
-
Improves water movement and reduces surface runoff

SoundSoil was very helpful with improvements to my lawn
I applied the first “dose” a couple of weeks before winter came here in MN. I won’t know the results until next spring when I will definitely apply a second application. I’m hoping I will see a great result.
Customer service was great ! First time user so next spring will reorder more!
Before using water would pool up on my dirt yard, not soaking in. The dirt now retains moisture and looks like we could plant grass this next spring. We went from a light tan to a rich brown. It took about a month to see results. Im excited to spray another round in the spring and get this thing planted.
My yard took a beating this year due to the poor soil I had and a mild drought. Unfortunately the soil conditions never allowed the sod to root deeply. After doing a soil test, it showed that my soil was heavily clay and had a high PH level. In doing research I came across Sound Soil. This was my first introduction to using amendments to improve the foundation of my yard.
I began to communicate with Jeff regarding my yard. Through his direction, I applied three treatments of liquid humus and one treatment of restore clay (Jeff suggested three treatments but I ran out of time). Once we got a break in the hot weather I overseeded my entire lawn. It's been five weeks since doing that and the yard is looking much better. I will do another treatment of both products next spring. I only gave the rating of 4 stars because I wasn't able to see a full cycle, but based on the progress, I suspect I'll upgrade the rating next Spring. With regards to the help and direction I received, it's higher than 5 stars and was invaluable and gave me confidence I didn't have.
